Scholarship Awards

It is our mandate to address the social, economic and cultural issues and needs of Black Women regardless of ability, age, ancestry, citizenship, class, culture, ethnicity, marital status, place of birth, religion or sexual orientatio. As part of our mandate we are pleased to offer a number of scholarship opportunities to local students, a list of available scholarships and past winners can be found below.

Kay Livingstone Memorial Award

Kay pioneered the cause of Black women in Canada and was an advocate of social justice for all individuals. In 1992 the London Chapter established the Kay Livingstone Scholarship in her memory.

Gwen Jenkins Memorial Scholarship

This award was established in memory of the late Mrs. Gwen Jenkins, founding President of the Congress of Black Women of Canada, London Chapter.

Yaphet Robinson Award

The Yaphet Robinson Human Equality Award is for extra-ordinary service to our community in the furtherance of human rights and is awarded annually.
